Pacific Share
A nonprofit for Pacific communities

Giving fishing & diving gear a second life in the Pacific.

Pacific Share collects donated fishing, diving, and marine gear from New Zealand and delivers it to Pacific Island communities that need it / donated, delivered, and kept.

02 / How it works

From your shed to their harbour.

  1. 01

    Donate

You tell us what gear you have to give, in a couple of minutes online.

  2. 02

    Collect

We arrange pick-up or a drop-off point near you.

  3. 03

    Prepare

Gear is checked, sorted, and packed by category and destination.

  4. 04

    Transport

Volunteer sailors, shippers, and travellers carry it across the Pacific.

  5. 05

    Deliver

Gear reaches a local partner on the ground in the receiving community.

  6. 06

    Community

Families fish and dive safely, and can pass gear on when they no longer need it.

03 / Why we started

Good gear shouldn't sit unused while communities go without.

Founded by Aaron Poingdestre, Pacific Share connects spare fishing and diving gear with the Pacific Island communities who rely on the ocean for food and income.
